Israel is conducting extensive preparatory measures in close coordination with the United States to ensure that its military will not be surprised by Washington's decision to strike Iran, N12 TV reported.
According to the N12 TV channel, Israel is “maintaining heightened combat readiness“ and is prepared for various “defensive and offensive“ events. However, the Israeli Home Front Command, which issues instructions to the population, has not yet tightened them, the channel noted.
According to the Ynet portal, Israel believes that US President Donald Trump may order a strike on Iran in the coming days after losing faith in the possibility of a nuclear deal. The portal also reported that a meeting of the Israeli political-military cabinet, previously scheduled for February 19, was postponed to February 22 without explanation.
Ynet also claims that in closed meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in recent days, the possibility of an Iranian missile strike on the Jewish state was discussed, even if it did not participate in the American attack. According to the portal, the Israeli Home Front Command and other emergency services have already been ordered to prepare for military action, and several security units have been placed on high alert.
