Polish citizens should leave Iran immediately, Prime Minister Donald Tusk called today and warned that due to a potential armed conflict within hours, evacuation could become impossible, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
“Please leave Iran immediately and do not go to this country under any circumstances“, Tusk said.
The director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, said today that no country can deprive Iran of its right to enrich uranium in the context of strained relations between Washington and Tehran and negotiations to reach an agreement on the Iranian nuclear program, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.
"The basis of the nuclear industry is enrichment. "No matter what you want to do during the nuclear fission process, you will need nuclear fuel," Eslami said in a video published by the Iranian daily Etemad.
"Iran's nuclear program is being developed in accordance with the rules of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and no country can deprive Iran of its right to benefit from this technology in a peaceful way," he added.
Mohammad Eslami's statement testified to Tehran's unwavering confidence in continuing with uranium enrichment after the United States warned Iran on Wednesday that it was "unwise" to to conclude an agreement, with Washington once again threatening the Islamic Republic with military intervention if diplomacy fails, AFP notes.
This Tuesday, Tehran and Washington held a second round of talks on Iran's nuclear program in Geneva, mediated by Oman. The two sides agreed to continue discussions, while stressing that they are still far from reaching a consensus.
The United States has repeatedly demanded that Iran abandon uranium enrichment, while stating that any future agreement between the two countries must also provide for restrictions on Iran's ballistic missile program, as well as support for armed groups.
