Over 1,000 Kenyans have left for Russia to become mercenaries in the Russian army for the war in Ukraine. This is what the French Le Monde writes, referring to data presented in the Kenyan parliament.

The number is significantly higher than the previously announced 200 people fighting on the side of Russia. According to a Kenyan intelligence report, the men went to Russia with fake tourist visas and promises of high salaries as mercenaries.

The journey took place via Abu Dhabi or Istanbul. Many of them signed contracts to serve in the Russian army, with salaries ranging from 920 to 2,400 euros. An agency in Nairobi has been advertising and recruiting people willing to go to fight in Ukraine.

In addition to Kenya, residents of Uganda and South Africa are also in the ranks of the Russian army on the front in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian armed forces will have a network of their own satellites to help them reduce their dependence on Starlink for communications, ITC writes.

Although Elon Musk's company SpaceX will support the project, the management of the satellites will be entirely in the hands of the Ukrainian authorities.

The network will be called UASAT NANO and will initially have about 120 satellites. The devices will be manufactured by the Danish company GomSpace. However, over time, it is planned to transfer the production of the satellites to Ukraine.

The devices will orbit in low Earth orbit, at an altitude of about 550 kilometers. The launch of the first satellite is planned for October, and it will be used to test the technology and management model of the future satellite cluster.

The full deployment of the system is planned to begin next year, using SpaceX rockets for the launch. The Ukrainian military and government are expected to receive between 30,000 and 50,000 satellite internet terminals when the system is operational. The network will be able to support up to 100 thousand terminals, with the project team paying special attention to the technology's resistance to electronic warfare.

In addition to the satellite network, Ukraine also plans to build a separate protected military network for mobile communications, which will be used in crisis situations or during war.

A new Russian homemade robotic multiple launch rocket system has been spotted in combat operations in Ukraine, writes RBC Ukraine.

The development is a combination of a mobile platform on which aviation missile blocks for C5 unguided missiles are mounted.

The platform is on caterpillar tracks for greater cross-country ability, and its creators have named it “Cultivator“. It is equipped with two blocks with 16 unguided missiles each.

The effective range of the homemade installation is between 2 and 4 kilometers. Due to its short range, the "Cultivator" is a target for Ukrainian drones on the battlefield, but on the other hand, it allows for approaching the line of contact without putting the lives of soldiers at risk.
