The Israeli Air Force announced that it had carried out large-scale bombing raids against Iranian warships and infrastructure in the Caspian Sea in northern Iran, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.

"Yesterday, Israeli fighter jets struck key Iranian naval infrastructure in the Caspian Sea," the Israeli army said in a statement. According to the statement, port facilities and a naval base where dozens of military facilities, including ships and patrol boats, were located were hit.

This is "one of the most significant strikes" since the start of the Israeli-American offensive against Iran, which began on February 28, the Israeli army said, publishing images it said showed the results of the bombing.

Israeli military spokesman Nadav Shoshani, quoted by Reuters, confirmed that the Israeli air force had struck Iranian targets in the Caspian Sea and that it had destroyed Tehran's naval forces in the area.

The head of the US National Intelligence Service, Tulsi Gabbard, said today during a hearing before the House Intelligence Committee that the goals of the US and Israel during the military campaign in Iran are not the same, quoted by Reuters, BTA reported.

„The goals that were set by the president (Donald Trump) are different from the goals that were set by the Israeli government," Gabbard said. "We can see from the operations that the Israeli government has focused on neutralizing the Iranian leadership. The president said his goals are to destroy Iran's ability to launch ballistic missiles, its ability to produce ballistic missiles and its naval forces," she added.

Earlier, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegsett said that the US goals, set directly by President Trump, who puts America first, remain exactly the same as they have been since the beginning of the strikes against Iran.

Iran will show no restraint if its energy infrastructure is attacked again, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned today, quoted by Agence France-Presse.

Similar warnings were also issued by representatives of the Iranian armed forces, as well as the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

“Our response to the Israeli attack on our infrastructure mobilized only a small part of our strength. "We will not show any restraint if our infrastructure is hit again," Aragchi wrote on the social network "Ex".
