A girl died after falling through a window from the sixth floor of a hotel in the German city of Dusseldorf, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
The tragic incident happened last night, but the police reported it today. Early in the morning, the girl died in hospital from her injuries.
Due to the unclear circumstances, an investigation into the death has been launched, a police spokesperson told DPA. The girl's cell phone was seized, but there are no indications of wrongdoing and no suspects are being investigated, police said.
The teenager was in the hotel with her mother, who was not in the room when her daughter fell. According to the investigation, the mother is not guilty, and suicide is also excluded.
