Protests in Serbia continue with blockades in various cities

Special action organized in Nis

Protests continue in Serbia, BNR reported. Today, blockades and demonstrations were again organized in the capital Belgrade and in a number of cities. A special action was also organized in Nis.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that a seven-hour blockade of the "Gazela" bridge in Belgrade has been announced from 11:00 to 18:00 on 09.02.2025. The bridge is part of the international road E-75.

Last night, students and citizens again observed 15 minutes of silence in memory of the 15 victims of the collapse of the Novi Sad train station. The protesters want those responsible for the tragedy and the government to take responsibility. Last night, the Speaker of the Assembly, Ana Brnabić, and the Finance Minister, Sinisa Mali, were booed during their visit to Lazarevac.

Demonstrations have also been organized by Serbian communities abroad. In Sofia, there will be a 15-minute silent march in front of the embassy in memory of the 15 victims of the tragedy in Novi Sad.
