Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Operation Spiderweb demonstrated Ukraine's ability to deliver precise and sensitive strikes on the enemy - not only in defense of its own territory, but also as a contribution to the security of all of Europe. He said this during the summit of the “Bucharest Nine“, held in Vilnius, the BBC reported, quoted by News.bg.

“Weapons production is a key factor. Strengthening Ukraine is the path to ending the war and deterring its expansion,“ Zelensky stressed.

The meeting of state and government leaders of the “Bucharest Nine“ has been convened to coordinate regional positions before the upcoming NATO summit in The Hague on June 24-25. The main topic there will be future support for Ukraine, “Evropeyskaya Pravda“ reports.

“We must show that Russia does not have the power to influence the decisions of the Alliance and its members. Euro-Atlantic security is an issue that must be resolved by Euro-Atlantic countries. Putin has turned against Europe - there is no place for him in our future. This message must be clearly conveyed as early as June. Europe will not compromise on its own security“, said the Ukrainian president.

The “Bucharest Nine“ forum brings together nine countries from Eastern Europe - Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia - and was established in 2015. with a focus on security and defense cooperation in the region.
