US President Donald Trump announced today that three senior officials from his administration will meet with Chinese representatives on June 9 in London to discuss a trade agreement, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
The US side will be represented at the meeting by Treasury Secretary Scott Besant, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, Trump said in a post on his social media platform "Truth Social".
"The meeting should go very well," he noted.
The meeting was scheduled a day after a phone call between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping amid weeks of trade tensions and a confrontation over critical minerals. weeks of trade tensions and a standoff over critical minerals.
