Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan described Israel's attacks on Iran as a provocation that does not respect international law, the Anadolu Agency reported, quoted by BTA.
“Israel's attacks on our neighbor Iran are an open provocation that does not respect international law“, the Turkish president said on his social media profile. According to him, starting with Gaza, Israel this morning brought to a dangerous stage the strategy that aims to "plunge the region into blood, tears and instability".
„These attacks, which are taking place at a time when negotiations related to Iran's nuclear program have intensified and international pressure is increasing due to the inhumane actions in Gaza, show the way of thinking of Israel, which does not know the rules. The administration of Benjamin Netanyahu, which is reckless, belligerent and does not recognize the laws, is trying to lead the whole world into trouble. It is time for the international community to put an end to Israeli banditry targeting global and regional stability," Erdogan said.
The Turkish president stressed that Netanyahu's attacks are setting the entire region on fire.
“We would like to say once again that the Middle East does not want to see more blood, destruction and conflict. Turkey condemns the heinous attack on our neighbor. We express our condolences to friendly and brotherly Iran. We pray for the dead and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,“ Erdogan also said.
