„My Bulgaria betrayed me. I don't want to do anything more for Bulgaria. I don't want to set foot there anymore. Judas for 30 pieces of silver! This is Bulgaria.“
This is what Bessarabian Bulgarian Tatyana Staneva, who is a journalist, director and civil activist, wrote on Facebook.
„We lost this battle with Russian peace and racism, we lost the battle for our Bulgaria. I hope that each of these freaks experiences this Russian peace that they love so much, and that they help kill us. Everything comes back. Everything. And we, Bessarabian Bulgarians, and the whole world, will remember this. "You won't have time to atone for your sins for eternity," Staneva wrote in an emotional post.
The reason for her publication was the news that Bulgaria supports the military machine of the aggressor Russia, and more specifically with equipment for Russian helicopters. The international intelligence community InformNapalm published documents that reveal international contracts, supply routes and bank receipts related to the Russian holding "Russian Helicopters", which unites all helicopter manufacturing enterprises in the Russian Federation. Bulgaria's name is also included in the lists.
The authors of the investigation claim that Bulgaria is involved as a partner in the supply chains, approvals and logistics of repairs. Bulgaria is the only EU country to appear on this list. At the moment, there is no official reaction from Bulgarian institutions.
„...It turned out that my activity was a mosquito that tried to bite the elephant. It's time for us all to realize that we are the minority, and Bulgaria as it is at the moment is pushing us out. And we are doing nothing (we can't or don't want to or we are just tired) to change it. I have had a lot of stories, mass clashes over kopecks, and on top of these stories, most recently - in February of this year, when I was in Sofia, someone recognized me on the street and started shouting across the road: “Go to Ukraine! Get out of here!” I remember how I just burst into tears on the road. Out of powerlessness“, wrote Tatyana Staneva in another post.
On the YouTube channel “Counter-commentary with Asen Genov“ the Bessarabian Bulgarian revealed why she wrote these words and what she meant. “Everyone knows about my love for Bulgaria, they know that I divide Bulgaria between the state and my people, my ancestors. They are two different Bulgarias and I naturally cannot have sentiments towards the state“, said Staneva. “I cannot naturally feel such a Bulgaria as my homeland when it sends weapons to Russia“, she shared.
“I want to ask for forgiveness (those I have hurt with my words), it is difficult for me to explain myself. At the moment I was writing the post, sirens were sounding and there were explosions. I felt that at that moment Bulgaria was directly killing me“, said Tatyana Staneva, who was in Kiev during the next massive strikes by Russia against civilian targets.
She revealed to Asen Genov that she had spoken with Bulgarian MPs, whose names she kept secret, according to whom it was not possible for such assistance in the defense industry to be provided to Russia without the knowledge of the Bulgarian services. “They told me: “Tanche, you know how Bulgaria is a failure in every service“. Tatyana Staneva also shared that she did not expect “such misunderstanding and condemnation“ in her Facebook post.
