Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Iran had violated the ceasefire agreement, prompting him to order the military to launch new strikes on targets in the capital Tehran. This was reported by the BBC, citing his statement, reports News.bg.
“I have instructed the Israeli Defense Forces to respond to Iran's violation of the ceasefire with powerful strikes on regime targets in central Tehran“, Katz stressed.
The statement comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier confirmed that Israel had accepted the terms of a ceasefire with the Islamic Republic.
The ceasefire was officially announced by US President Donald Trump. The agreement came a day after the United States became directly involved in the conflict between Israel and Iran by carrying out strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
