Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Western partners last night to take stricter measures against the sale of banned electronic components for combat drones and missiles to Russia, DPA reported, referring to his evening video address.

Zelensky said he had spoken with the ambassadors of EU member states in Kiev, showing them parts of downed Russian combat drones and missiles.

"None of these missiles or "Shahed" drones could have been created without components from other countries received in Russia through various supply schemes," the Ukrainian president said. "Any such supply scheme must be blocked - and it depends on our partners," he added.

Ukrainian specialists recently found many electronic components from China in Russian combat drones manufactured in Iran.

Beijing does not participate in technological sanctions against its ally Moscow, DPA notes. However, components from European countries or the United States are also found in many Russian weapons, although their export to Russia is prohibited.
