''China is ready to deepen cooperation with the UN, uphold the organization's central role in international affairs, and shoulder joint responsibility for maintaining world peace and promoting development and prosperity, the Chinese president confirmed to Guterres, who is in Tianjin, to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.
Noting that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the World Anti-Fascist War and the founding of the United Nations, the Chinese president said ''history has shown that multilateralism, solidarity and cooperation are the right answers to global challenges.
