The entry of Russian drones into Polish airspace on Wednesday was an attempt to test Poland's and NATO's ability to respond, Polish President Karol Nawrocki told soldiers on Wednesday, Reuters reported, BTA reported.

The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting to discuss the unprecedented operation in which Poland, a member of the European Union and NATO, supported by its NATO allies, shot down suspected Russian drones that violated its airspace.

Earlier today, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned Poles not to succumb to Moscow's disinformation campaigns and also urged them not to spread them, Reuters reported. DPA.

“The spread of Russian propaganda and disinformation in the current situation is an action that harms the Polish state and is directly aimed at the security of the homeland and its citizens“, Tusk wrote in “Ex“.

He added that stupidity and certain political views should not be considered “mitigating circumstances“ for such actions.

The Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs also warned about disinformation on the Internet and yesterday published a list of narratives spread by Russian and Belarusian sources. These include the claim that Ukraine wants to drag Poland into a war with Russia and has sent the drones against its neighbor.

The Ministry of Digital Affairs also said that the claim that Poland is completely helpless against drones is Russian propaganda and serves to spread panic.

At least 19 drones have entered Polish airspace, Tusk said yesterday morning.
