Record Gasoline Price in the US - 1

Gasoline prices in the US jumped to $4.18 per gallon (approximately $1.10 per liter) in a single day, setting a record since August 2022, according to data from the American Automobile Association.

The price rose by about 6 cents in a single day, the largest one-day increase in five weeks. Rising oil futures prices indicate that gasoline prices for Americans will continue to rise. The highest price was recorded in California, where the price of a gallon of gasoline reached $5.96.

Gasoline prices in the US have been falling for two weeks since the announcement of a ceasefire in the conflict with Iran in early April, but fuel prices have started to rise again amid stalled negotiations. According to a forecast by the American consulting company Lipow Oil Associates, the average price of gasoline across the country could rise to $4.30 per gallon within the next week or 10 days.
