Turkish Airlines is in talks with aircraft manufacturers Airbus and Boeing to buy 235 planes. "This is part of its development strategy," announced the chairman of the board of directors of the national carrier of Turkey, Ahmet Bolat.
The ten-year development plan of Turkish Airlines envisages increasing the company's fleet by almost 600 aircraft. In December 2023, Turkish Airlines announced an agreement with Airbus to purchase 355 aircraft (A312 Neo, A350-900, A350-1000, A350F) from the European manufacturer worth USD 70 billion.
Currently, Turkish Airlines has a fleet of 440 aircraft, mostly new generation (Airbus and Boeing). The company is one of the leading air carriers in the world.
