A minimal increase in the prices of basic foodstuffs and most fruits and vegetables on the exchanges in the country, the data in the weekly bulletin of the State Commission for Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DKSBT) show, BTA reported.
The market price index (MPI), which reflects the movement of wholesale food prices in our country, was at the level of 2,085 points at the end of the week. The base level of ITC - 1,000 points, is from 2005
Imported cucumbers rose in price by 3.5 percent to BGN 2.38 per kilogram, and greenhouse cucumbers by 6.7 percent to BGN 3.02 per kilogram. The price of greenhouse tomatoes remains unchanged and they are traded at BGN 3.72 per kilogram. Potatoes rose by 0.7 percent to BGN 1.53 per kilogram, carrots - by 0.8 percent and are priced at BGN 1.21 per kilogram. Ripe garlic goes up by 3.8 percent to BGN 5.48 per kilogram, and lettuce by 4.2 percent to BGN 0.75 per piece. Ripe onions become cheaper by 5.4 percent and are available at BGN 1.39 per kilogram, and cabbage by 13.6 percent to BGN 1.02 per kilogram.
The price of imported apples is unchanged at the end of the week and they are traded at BGN 1.52 per kilogram. The price of lemons rose by 6.5 percent, which are traded at BGN 2.30 per kilogram. Bananas added 2.6 percent to BGN 2.73 per kilogram. Oranges became cheaper by 3.9 percent to BGN 1.73 per kilogram, strawberries (import) - by 1.4 percent to BGN 4.35 per kilogram.
By 0.7 percent, the price of cow's cheese, which is traded at BGN 10.68 per kilogram, as well as "Vitosha" type cheese, which is available at BGN 16.82 per kilogram, is increasing.
Yogurt (3 and over 3 percent fat content) becomes cheaper by 1.7 percent and is bought at BGN 1.16 for a bucket of 400 grams, and fresh milk (3 percent fat content) - by 0.4 percent hundred to BGN 2.25 per liter.
Chicken meat went up in price by 1.2 percent and is available at BGN 6.67 per kilogram. Eggs (size M) are unchanged and are bought at BGN 0.32 per piece wholesale at the end of the week.
The price of rice rose by 0.3 percent to BGN 3.31 per kilogram, and lentils - by 1.6 percent to BGN 4.37 per kilogram. Ripe beans became cheaper by 0.2 percent to BGN 4.17 per kilogram, sugar by 0.5 percent to BGN 2.00 per kilogram. Oil is also cheaper - by 1.1 percent to BGN 2.67 per liter. Type 500 flour increased in price by 2.3 percent and is traded at BGN 1.33 per kilogram, and cow butter (125 gram package) - by 1.9 percent to BGN 2.74 per piece.
