Radev opens an exhibition of defense products in Plovdiv

The 16th International Exhibition of Defense Products and Services “Hemus 2024” will be opened in Plovdiv today, the press center of Ministry of Defense, quoted by BTA.

The exhibition will be opened by President Rumen Radev and Acting Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov. It takes place from June 5 to 8 at the International Fair in Plovdiv. The opening ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. in front of Hall 3 of the International Fair – Plovdiv. It will also be attended by the Deputy Chief of Defense, Lieutenant General Tsanko Stoykov. Acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev was also invited, added the Ministry of Defense.

Before the opening of “Hemus 2024”, from 10:00 a.m. in the “Press Club“ of the fair city, the Deputy Minister of Defense Adelina Nikolova and the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Dr. David Sukalinski will give a press conference for the media. Representatives of the organizers of the exhibition from the “Hemus - 95“ foundation will take part in it.

The international specialized exhibition “Hemus 2024“ is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Economy and Industry and is organized by the “Hemus - 95“ foundation. On the first day of the exhibition, a session of the Industrial Forum will be held.

On June 6, a two-day international scientific conference will be opened, organized by the Defense Institute “Professor Tsvetan Lazarov“ on the topic “Research, innovation and industrial cooperation – paradigm for adequate defense“.

On June 7, in the demonstration shootings at the “Zmeyovo“ new developments and products of Bulgarian and foreign companies will be presented.

On June 8, a demonstration of capabilities will be held by military personnel from the Joint Special Operations Command, after which the certificates of the exhibitors will be presented by the Deputy Minister of Defense Adelina Nikolova.

Companies from 25 countries will present innovations in the defense industry at the exhibition. 147 companies from 25 countries will form the exposition in three halls and nearly 10,000 square meters of exhibition space.
