UK GDP showed zero growth in April compared to the previous month, according to a report by Britain's Office for National Statistics.
The lack of growth was noted to be mainly influenced by weather conditions: April was the UK's wettest for 12 years. This led to a decline in construction volumes in the country by 1.4%. A decrease in turnover in retail trade was also registered (-2.3%).
Late last year, the UK entered a technical recession after recording two consecutive quarters of GDP decline. According to the results of the first quarter of this year, the kingdom came out of recession, showing an economic growth of 0.7%. In March, the economy grew by 0.4% compared to the previous month.
