For the first four months of the current year, Kazakhstan has increased its aluminum exports by 4.7 times. One of the reasons is the opening of new markets, among which is Bulgaria. For the period January-April 2024, 2.6 tons were imported into our country.
New European markets for Kazakhstan in terms of aluminum exports are Poland and Italy, with respectively 14 and 3 tons of aluminum exported.
In Kazakhstan, during the four months of 2024, the volume of aluminum exports in physical terms increased 4.7 times - from 16 to 75.4 thousand tons, reports the Kazinform agency with reference to the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic Kazakhstan.
The growth was achieved due to an increase in demand from Azerbaijan by 8 times (from 5.5 to 43.1 thousand tons), Uzbekistan - almost 10.5 times (from 0.2 to 2.1 thousand tons), as well as by expanding the geography of supplies to countries such as Belarus, Bulgaria, Italy, Poland, the announcement says.
The department noted that the only local producer of primary aluminum in Kazakhstan is JSC "Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant" (Pavlodar).
