In just one day - on June 30, the staff of the busiest airport in Europe - Xitpoy, served 268,000 passengers, making an average of 11,000 people per hour, DPA agency reports. Last month, the London airport reported five days in which it handled more than 268,000 passengers a day. For the entire month of June, the airport served a record 7.4 million passengers, which is an increase of 5.6% compared to the same month of 2023. Then 7 million passengers passed through the airport.
The number of employees who work on Xiitpoy is also a record - 90,000 people. Of these, hundreds of employees guide passengers for every step of their journey.
