„We pledge to maintain the US dollar as the world's reserve currency,” the document says, without specifying how this might be achieved.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a meeting with heads of international news agencies, called the use of the dollar as a tool of sanctions as a big mistake of the United States and noted that they undermine confidence in that currency. According to the president, the US is killing this currency with its own hands. This encourages other countries to switch to national currencies for payments, Putin added.
