Tour operators who organize incoming tourism for Bulgaria report an increase in tourists during the summer season. The forecasts for the upcoming winter season are also good. The majority were tourists from Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Great Britain and Germany, said Ivan Groshev - chairman of the Association of Inbound Tourism Agencies, quoted by BNR.
"The English market shows sympathy for Bulgaria. For the future, we also expect good results - summer 2025. The indications, so far, for pre-registrations are very good. Market Germany was in the paradoxical situation of having demand but no airplane seats. There we realized quite good sales of early registrations, but then the capacity was exhausted.
An increase in tourists from Germany is expected next summer from 10 – 15 percent, and they are also supported by the corresponding charter capacities. For the Polish market, it is necessary to carry out marketing activities, since Bulgaria is not known among the younger generation, but together with the Czech Republic, small but stable increases in tourists are expected. The Benelux countries have potential for Bulgarian tourism, which is not being used due to the lack of advertising and marketing, Ivan Groshev also said. Tourists' impressions of the country are very good, but more information is needed about the possibilities for additional services, Groshev also pointed out:
"Customers leave very positive feedback about what they have experienced, what they have seen and are surprised that we offer much more than purely sea or purely winter, ski tourism.
Forecasts for the winter season-- are for 20 – 25% increase in tourists, but many customers are waiting for a more stable weather forecast due to climate change.
