The holidays are a period for travel. A guest in the studio of "The Day Begins" was Rumen Draganov, director of the Institute for Analysis and Evaluation in Tourism. A little over 3 million foreigners have entered Bulgaria, and almost twice as many Bulgarians have traveled around the country. The growth in tourism is about 4%.
"In previous years, we had double-digit growth after the pandemic. But now it is reaching a plateau, which means that tourism is entering a sustainable framework. This means that we are moving within the parameters of about 13 million. and a half foreigners who entered the country," said Rumen Draganov.
He noted that Sofia and Plovdiv have become a hit and tourists themselves are sharing information about how nice it is, which also increases the number of visits:
"At the heart of everything is the product that is created by people who work in tourism, and they copy it. Traveling around the world, they see how the relevant services are offered and bring them to our country. For foreigners, the security that is provided to them here is very important. They find a green, beautiful country, nice, well-dressed people, good transportation…".
