Kazakhstan continues to be one of the richest countries in terms of natural resource reserves. The Ministry of Industry and Construction has published up-to-date data on the availability of key minerals, cited by ag. „Kazinform“.
According to the latest data, at the current level of production, the projected availability is:
- gold - 30 years;
- copper - 38 years;
- lead - 156 years;
- iron ores - 957 years;
- coal - 350 years.
Stable reserves have also been registered for strategically important resources such as manganese, titanium, molybdenum and others.
"This means thatwith rational production and constant development of geological exploration, Kazakhstan can not only maintain, but also strengthen its positions on the world stage of raw materials," the ministry notes.
