The issue of flooding on the Black Sea coast has also caused reactions in parliament. The MPs are categorical that checks are needed to see who and why allowed the river in "Elenite" to be built up. But they saw different culprits for the construction in recent decades along the coast, bTV reported.
After the Ministry of Regional Development reported on sites with missing documentation in "Elenite", Boyko Borisov demanded that all illegal buildings there be demolished.
„Who is responsible - DNSK, everyone who built illegally, they should be taken away. If they are built in ravines, they should be demolished“, he said.
PP-DB accused Borisov of being to blame for the construction.
„Everything on the Black Sea coast is the result of the last 30 years. Borisov gave away the beaches to his friends from the Election Commission. The interests are tens of hundreds of millions, there has been no reaction from the institutions for years“, commented Ivaylo Mirchev.
„Vazrazhdane“ also requested that Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov come to parliament for a hearing on the topic, but they did not receive support in the vote.
„This is the specific fault of the municipal and state authorities back in time“, said Kostadin Kostadinov from „Vazrazhdane“.
Comments also came from "Velichy" and MECH, the other parties did not comment.
