Most likely, today's proposal by Boyko Borisov to Vasil Terziev is part of the general strategy of GERB. If Terziev declares a state of emergency, this will mean that he is not coping with the garbage situation in Sofia. This tactic of GERB is normal, because they are in a tough confrontation with "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria".
This was stated on the show "Denyat na Zievo" on NOVA NEWS political scientist Assoc. Prof. Milen Lyubenov, who commented on the garbage crisis in Sofia and other hot political topics of the day.
"There is still much to be desired from the Sofia Municipality administration. It is a matter of planning on the part of the Sofia Municipality whether the state should intervene. I do not think that Vasil Terziev can successfully enter the race for president. There are many reasons. I do not think that Terziev even has such an idea in his head", he added.
"Rumen Hristov's statement about the president is most likely some kind of internal coalition game. I am surprised that Hristov is making such a proposal, because he is an experienced politician and it is clear to him that this proposal is unconstitutional. I think that Rumen Radev will announce at the end of his mandate whether he will form a political party", the political scientist predicted.
"Apparently there is some process surrounding the sale of "Lukoil". This is a very large asset, in which many companies and people are interested. Today's decision for SANS and the Council of Ministers is puzzling. This means that either the government wants to stop the sale, or that they want them to take matters into their own hands and determine to whom "Lukoil" should be sold, concluded Assoc. Prof. Lyubenov.
