The Sofia District Prosecutor's Office has charged a 20-year-old man with assaulting a 30-year-old Sofia resident on a pedestrian crossing.
The incident occurred on October 23, at around 10:30 a.m., on “Praga“ Blvd. in the capital.
After an argument between the two, the attacker punched the other man in the head several times, causing him moderate bodily injury.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the case, and the accused has been detained for up to 72 hours.
The prosecutor's office will ask the court to keep him in custody with a preventive measure of "detention in custody".
