The Ministry of Social Affairs - with new measures against child marriages and childbirth among minors. This is part of the campaign of the State Agency for Child Protection against violence among adolescents, Nova TV reported.
Minister Borislav Gutsanov and experts from various social institutions are expected to present official data on the number of births among minors and minors, as well as in which areas the phenomenon, also known as “children give birth to children“, has become a permanent trend. The links between violence between children and these phenomena will also be discussed in order to discuss how to reduce aggression at this age.
The minister presents startling statistics, according to which 2,837 children have given birth to children in the last year. For the last 10 years, their number is 33,159. He defines this as a "key important" and "serious problem".
Borislav Gutsanov makes a connection between this social phenomenon and recent serious crimes, pointing out that the perpetrators often grew up in poverty and are the product of early births. According to him, this leads to a lack of education and healthcare and turns these children into "potentially dangerous to themselves and to society".
Although he postpones the details for later, he states that the minimum wage will be within the legal framework, pensions will be updated according to the "Swiss rule" and there will be no cuts to social benefits. He assures that work is also being done to increase maternity benefits for the first, second and third child.
