The Varna District Court will hear the case against Blagomir Kotsev and the other four defendants for criminal conspiracy, requested bribes and coercion. This was decided by the Supreme Court of Cassation, which was referred by the Sofia City Court where to hear the case. All five defendants are from Varna, and 25 of the total 28 witnesses are also from Varna.
Blagomir Kotsev is accused of having "conspired with two municipal councilors, a co-owner of a commercial company and a deputy to commit bribery and coercion in the country" in order to gain property. Kotsev participated in three acts. He requested nearly 370 thousand leva. The indictment describes several cases of corruption.
