A group of citizens organized a protest action in front of the house of GERB leader Boyko Borisov in the town of Bankya this evening. The dissatisfaction passed under the guise of a peaceful withdrawal of the ruling party and the release of detained political figures.
The participants in the demonstration gathered in front of the house of the former prime minister with specific demands for a change in the political model. They left a symbolic "gift" in front of the gate of the property - a painting that, according to them, illustrates the "Mafia party", accompanied by a red rose and a white envelope.
"We have one single message - leave in peace. "We can't live like this," said the participants in the action, quoted by NOVA.
According to the demonstrators, the picture left behind aims to illustrate the relationship and role of Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski in the contemporary political scene of Bulgaria. The action is part of a series of public discontents directed against corruption and dependencies in power.
The main emphasis in the chants was the call for "freedom for political prisoners". This demand corresponds to the tension of recent weeks and the arrests of political opponents, which caused a wave of reactions in the country.
The event in Bankya took place peacefully and without violations of public order, and after leaving the objects, the protesters dispersed.
The place for politics is on the political terrain, not in front of the homes where our children, women and families live. This was stated by GERB-SDF MP Toma Bikov.
A provocation was carried out in front of the home of GERB-SDF leader Boyko Borisov by another party. Members of the GERB youth organization and the party gathered in front of his house in Bankya.
