Petar Petrov: Our positions with Radev are starting to differ - 1

Our positions with Rumen Radev are starting to differ - he declares pro-European positions for deeper integration into the EU and the eurozone.

This is what the MP from "Vazrazhdane" Petar Petrov, deputy chairman of the party and its parliamentary group in the 51st National Assembly, told the Bulgarian National Radio:

"Vazrazhdane" is for preserving the leva, against American bases in Bulgaria and our membership in NATO, against economic sanctions against Russia. These are positions on which we see a difference with Radev. But let's see his election platform and have debates, then let's talk and see who defends what and whether someone can interact with someone after the elections. ... After the elections, he is welcome to negotiate with us, if he accepts our positions - they are known."

With GERB, DPS and PP-DB we would not be able to do anything together after the elections, he added.

Petrov suggested that the early parliamentary elections will be held on April 19 at the earliest.

He emphasized that "Vazrazhdane" is against the bill on amendments to the Electoral Code, which envisages the introduction of scanners and changes to the electoral lists.

Andrei Gyurov is the most acceptable proposal for acting prime minister, he said, specifying that this is the position of the "Vazrazhdane" party. and added that the choice is up to President Iliana Yotova, who will decide who to appoint as prime minister of the caretaker government:

"In the last two months, we have been saying that appointing a different caretaker prime minister than Andrey Gyurov would be an agreement with the status quo".

According to the MP from "Vazrazhdane", there was "dramatism" after the introduction of the euro on January 1 "because of increased prices, speculation and no measures".
