Stefan Yanev: It is not ruled out that Yotova will demand the release of some ministers - 1

The changes in the Constitution have created different conditions than the previous constitutional norm. In this case, since we have a limit on the list, we are going to the hypothesis that the candidates on this list are more or less party-colored. So the responsibility for forming this cabinet will be both the Prime Minister and President Yotova, who will have shared responsibility with him. This was stated in an interview with Nova News by former caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev.

He added that it is not excluded that Iliana Yotova, hearing the voice of the people, will request that one of the caretaker ministers be dismissed by Andrey Gyurov if he does not properly handle his duties.

Yanev emphasized that it does not matter what kind of people will enter Gyurov's caretaker cabinet, and what is more important is that they "work as a team and get along."

Regarding the budget, the former caretaker Prime Minister explained that for nearly a year he has been raising the alarm that the government does not provide any transparency and information about what is happening with the money of Bulgarian taxpayers.

Where is this deficit? No matter how hidden it is, it is somewhere here. There was talk of amounts of around 18 billion leva, and now let's not talk about 18 billion again, but in euros? It would be practical for the caretaker government to audit the state's money and tell Bulgarian citizens what the country's financial situation is, Stefan Yanev urged.

He also commented on the topic surrounding the "Petrohan" case, pointing out that the questions are increasing, not decreasing.

“I am sure that there are enough good specialists in the services and they can say what the leading versions are, but when they will be allowed to say it is another question. In addition, I wonder one thing – Are we not moving towards a hypothesis that this case represents a “chewing gum“ that will shift the focus from the elections, or that it will turn out that Petrokhan should replace Kostinbrod from the past?“, commented Yanev.

Regarding the political project of former President Rumen Radev, Yanev explained that he is “loaded with a hope from Bulgarian citizens, that he will be the bearer of something new and different“.

Regarding Bulgaria's participation in the Peace Council in Washington on February 19, the former caretaker prime minister clarified that the conference is actually a donor conference, and not exactly a meeting of the Peace Council, as was announced.

The mechanisms for providing money and the way in which it will be spent will be discussed at this conference, which worries me a little. I am not entirely clear whether the status has been completely cleared, not exactly from the point of view of international law, but from the point of view of what exactly this Peace Council will want to do, said Yanev.

He did not rule out an option in which the observer we send to the American capital will return and say how much money Bulgaria will have to give for participation in the Peace Council. And in this context, he asked who will have to give these funds.
