Rumen Hristov: Giving supplements to pensioners was a tradition - 1

Giving supplements to pensioners has been a tradition that has caught on in recent years. There is anticipation, both for Christmas and Easter allowances. This part of the citizens of the population deserves it, this is a gesture to them and they deserve it. This was stated by the chairman of the SDS, Rumen Hristov, in the program “More from the day” according to BNT.

„It always happens that people who are on the edge are dissatisfied. Either way, we give this help to the people with the lowest incomes. There was another allocation of funds from the budget. We could have been tighter on the budget. Let's not forget that one of the criteria for our acceptance into the Eurozone is the budget deficit. We are not competing to give away more money. The problem is that this money is usually not accounted for in the budget. The practice of taking loans is not good, but an exception can be made for pensioners. Reserves should be found in the budget, but no loans should be taken out, he explained.

„We have our differences and strained relations, but this country must work. Mr. Asen Vassilev will definitely not be the Minister of Finance, as he will participate in the lists for the next parliament. We have reservations about him, so he wouldn't have our support”, Hristov admitted.

„The appearance of prominent political figures in the office is not a good option. I hope that the caretaker prime minister will look for experts. SDS has not proposed a minister and will not propose. Those who refused to participate in Maria Gabriel's cabinet do not have the moral right to now want to be official ministers, Hristov said, pointing to Agriculture Minister Kiril Vatev, said the chairman of the SDS and co-chairman of the PG of the GERB-SDS in the National Assembly.

According to him, it will not be easy, but Mr. Glavchev will manage.

I see a campaign to shift the blame that the election results could be called into question to the Ministers of e-governance and the Home Secretary. However, the machine vote is controlled by the company "Siela", which also monitors the fairness of the vote. I feel like it's distracting. Regarding the work of Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov on Schengen, it might be good for him to remain in this post. "Mr. Glavchev will not make a mistake if he leaves him," Rumen Hristov thinks.

„Elections are a democratic thing, but this interrupts the work of the administration. She is afraid to take more drastic actions, but saves herself. This is not good”, he said.

„I am convinced that we will have a better result in the upcoming elections. There will be accusations, but we will not leave the country in a constitutional crisis. Things happened – we have a broadcast prime minister, things are progressing step by step. In this case, Mr. Radev acted extremely correctly, respecting the Constitution. We are ready for elections and we will win them”, concluded the chairman of the SDS.
