In connection with the demands of the BSP for a vote of no confidence, according to Zafirov, after the caretaker government has sworn in the National Assembly, the parliament has the right to demand his resignation.
„The President stubbornly refuses to listen to our arguments to replace Mr. Glavchev. He lasted exactly three days as an “independent” prime minister and on the third day it became clear what we warned about - that he will be completely under the control of Boyko Borisov. "On the day Borisov asked for the foreign minister to be replaced, he was replaced," the socialist stressed.
„After it has been known for years about the schemes in the customs from DANS, during that time did the channels work?“, asked Atanas Zafirov. According to him, whenever there are tremors in customs and the Ministry of the Interior, it is about smuggling.
„It is absurd that the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs should be accused of such addictions – whoever suggested it should forget to do politics for the rest of his life. And if this is the level of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the moment, visibly permeated by corruption and addictions, how can we expect them to produce fair elections", he commented.
On the topic of the Ministry of the Interior, Zafirov drew attention to the fact that the people's representatives, even in a closed session, were refused confirmation as to whether Martin Bojanov was a secret collaborator of the Ministry of the Interior.
„Everything points to him being. The problem here is that it will become clear who the people around him are and from there this ball will begin to unravel”, explained the deputy chairman of the BSP.
He pointed out that the parliamentary committee on the customs scandal was created only because the National Assembly is on vacation.
„From the BSP, we were against the constitutional changes, but as soon as an amendment to the Constitution is adopted, the National Assembly should work, at least the work of this parliament should be understood. One of the main arguments for this was to have control over the service cabinet. What control will there be now, when the parliament will not work and the official cabinet will do whatever it wants, and on top of that it is brightly colored and partisan“, commented Atanas Zafirov.
