Over 90 companies will participate in this year's 39th edition of the national flower exhibition “Flora”, which takes place from April 27 to May 6 in Burgas.
Visitors can not only see, but also buy rare types of flowers and plants. For example, a bush with the exotic kumquat fruit can be bought for BGN 75. The fruit resembles something between an orange and a lemon when eaten with the peel. The price per kilogram ranges from BGN 19 to BGN 36.
White petunias are also rare, but can be seen and bought at this year's “Flora”. High-quality seedlings imported from Greece and Turkey can also be found on it. Flowers that have already bloomed are available to decorate the balcony of the home or the garden of the house, the organizers explain.
The accompanying program of the exhibition is also rich and interesting. There will be demonstrations of holiday floristry. It will be represented by the Latvian Elena Butko, who graduated from an international school of arrangement in her homeland, and Victoria Saiko – artist landscape architect.
During the exhibition concerts will be performed by a number of musical groups, including “Hot Sand”, trio DEJA VU.
This year's edition of “Flora“ has also organized a number of Easter workshops for the youngest visitors.
