„Yesterday morning I watched all the news, it all started with the "Coral" scandal. What scandal is there? Whether there are forged signatures, someone has to prove it. But there is a lawyer's secret here and it cannot be distributed publicly.“
This was stated in the show “Face to Face“ on bTV the co-chairman of “Democratic Bulgaria” Atanas Atanasov.
In his words, Kiril Petkov simply wanted to leave a non-governmental organization.
„There is no money here, no corruption, no shares. That the law requires some other form is a different matter, he emphasized.
Atanasov stated that there is currently a scandal involving kompromat between the political forces.
„Years from now these cases will end in some way, but they are now processing public opinion. This is a political struggle with illegal means, with the aim of discrediting the opponent, he added.
„We acted responsibly. Last year, after a political crisis, we formed a government and that after difficult negotiations with GERB. I don't know what the role of Alexei Petrov is, I never had a good relationship with him. If someone somewhere has done something that helped the formation of a government, I don't know it, Atanas Atanasov shared.
In his words, GERB leader Boyko Borisov likes to throw such things because “it is convenient”, but admitted that it is possible that there was some kind of meeting.
In connection with the scandal with the “Customs“ and the DANS report, Atanasov explained that, according to him, this development was conducted in order to look for contacts of Stefan and Marin Dimitrovi with Vasil Bozhkov.
„However, where is the evidence of smuggling? This was the first bullet, now with “Coral“ is the second. We are waiting for the next one," the DB co-chairman also said.
„There is a specific factory for compromising materials, which is currently working between the prosecutor's office and the State Security Service,”, the deputy added.
Atanasov called on the Bulgarians not to give up and to vote in the elections on June 9.
