The Sofia Court of Appeal remanded Krasimira Trifonova in connection with the murder of Peyo Peev. The decision is not subject to appeal, bTV reported.
Trifonova is accused of killing her son-in-law Peyo Peev at the beginning of the year with the help of her daughter Gabriela. The car with the man's body was found in the area of the Vitosha park, on the way to the Aleko hut.
Last week, the Sofia City Court refused to impose a lighter remand measure on Krasimira Trifonova and left her in custody. The woman said she was innocent and in poor health.
The prosecutor in the case contested because they have enough evidence of Trifonova's guilt, including video footage. Both Krasimira Trifonova and her daughter Gabriela refuse to attend the interviews related to the new examinations and the completion of the investigation.
The murder of Peyo Peev was committed at the beginning of this year in Sofia. His wife, 33-year-old Gabriela Slavova, and her 54-year-old mother, Krasimira Trifonova, are accused of him.
The investigation showed that the man was killed on January 18 in a car in the “Izgrev” quarter. The body was later found in a burnt-out car in a wooded area at the foot of Vitosha.
