Lchezar Bogdanov - Chief Economist at the Institute for Market Economy commented this to BNR. According to him, the more basic topic is the implementation of the budget. And it expects the candidates to give their opinion on the amount of taxes, collection, tax preferences, as well as their reaction to external factors and inflation.
"Since the end of the pandemic, then we went into a cycle of political uncertainty, we increasingly have the transformation of the parliament into some kind of revolutionary convention, in which decisions with huge consequences are made within days and sometimes hours and minutes , including billions", noted Lachezar Bogdanov.
The economist reassured that the increase in pensions will be by 11%.
Today is the day of tax freedom - from now on we start working for ourselves. This day almost always falls around the middle of May, recalled Lachezar Bogdanov.
"It is a measure of the total tax-insurance burden in a country. This shows that Bulgaria is far from being some kind of tax or offshore paradise. We are far from a country where there are almost no taxes or they are very minimal. If you add up everything that is paid by business entities, citizens, property owners, everyone who carries out some kind of activity in the country, in fact, a considerable burden is obtained, certainly more than 1/3 of what we create", explained the economist in interview for the show "Above all".
