"We are sending classic weapons to Ukraine, which are used up to 20 km, where the troops of the two countries face each other directly. "NATO, as an alliance, does not provide military aid, the member states do this, each according to their internal political decisions, so sometimes there are restrictions, such as in the USA," he commented.

According to him, there is increasing pressure to allow the use against military targets of the weapons provided to Kiev.

"Certainly military units and systems that fire directly at civilian targets are included, we can consider them legitimate. Predictability of military aid is necessary, European countries have not been able to compensate technologically for the lack of timely aid from the US. Some countries propose to set aside 0.25% of GDP for military aid to Ukraine. It's 10% of the budget, and countries on the Eastern Flank are already doing it. NATO is an interstate organization, decisions are made by presidents and prime ministers. "I'm skeptical that this can be resolved unanimously," he said.
