Glavchev: There is no scandal with Srebrenica. Someone is trying to make one - 1

"There is no scandal with Srebrenica. Someone is trying to make one”. Thus, acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev responded to the criticism that he had put pressure on our permanent representative to the UN to have our country vote “abstain” regarding the resolution on Srebrenica.
Glavchev emphasized that there is already an official position of our permanent representative at the UN, BNT reports.

"I don't know why it goes to working papers that were in the decision-making process. Anyone who has a basic knowledge of how decisions are made knows that this is a process, not a one-time act, and it ends after having an expressed position," Glavchev explained.

The Prime Minister recalled that Bulgaria is "for" the UN resolution on Srebrenica.

"I will not comment on the criminal leakage of documents in an unfinished phase of the decision-making process," said the caretaker prime minister.

Dimitar Glavchev emphasized that such scandals cause great international damage and it is unacceptable to use this thing in an election campaign.
"I have said from the first day - the caretaker government will prepare fair and transparent elections and that Bulgaria's foreign policy course will not be changed. I absolutely confirm this," Glavchev clarified and added that he would not take part in "pre-election spectacles" that will be organized in the last week before the elections, rejecting the possibility of being heard in the National Assembly, for which he called PP-DB and the vice-president Iliana Yotova.
