Two days before the end of the campaign , participants spent a total of BGN 2,528,822 on advertising. These are the funds reported for the two choices – for the EP and for the National Assembly, as of June 5, 2024, the Institute for the Development of the Public Environment announced

So it turns out that media expenses of the participants have increased by more than one million BGN in the last ten days. This amount is similar to campaign funds for the April 2023 election and nearly equal to campaign funds for the November 2021 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Once again, the parties have waited until the last days before the elections to increase the advertising of their messages in the media. Only two formations have not signed contracts as of June 5, 2024.

They spent the most funds from Vazrazhdane – BGN 493,385, followed by Continuing the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB) with BGN 373,410 and There's Such a People – BGN 241,928. Thus, there is a significant shift in the arrangement of the formations compared to the previous ten days of the campaign.

Vazrazhdane has tripled its advertising spending in the last week and has signed contracts for serious sums with the two major private television stations in our country. ITN also has agreements with bTV and Nova TV, and this leads to a tenfold increase in their advertising costs compared to the first 20 days of the campaign.

From GERB-SDS (which are the fourth in terms of expenses) they approach in a completely different way and at this moment they do not have signed contracts with either of the two television stations.

A total of 31 media have published contracts with political formations. Eurocom TV continues to be in first place in terms of funds raised with BGN 566,081, followed by BNT with BGN 492,038 and Nova TV with BGN 345,656.

And in previous campaigns, Eurocom TV was among the most preferred for advertising. She was selected from 22 formations – both parliamentary and by smaller political entities. The CEC register also shows that a significant part of the campaign packages (for both the EP and the National Assembly) are directed to the media.
