Alexander Yordanov: In Bulgaria, people have lower incomes than countries from the former USSR - 1

„It is right to have a government with political representation – the parties to nominate their iconic faces for ministers, and the prime minister – the leader of the victorious formation. In this case it is Boyko Borisov”.

This was stated in “In focus with Lora Krumova” the former MEP of GERB-SDS (2019-2023) Alexander Yordanov. He defined as “another mistake of theirs” the refusal of PP-DB to enter into a coalition with GERB-SDS.

„There is something that has always worried me about the process we call Transition. It is that his main problem is not solved – people's European incomes. It happened that people in Bulgaria have lower incomes than other countries from the former USSR that joined the EU, Yordanov pointed out. According to him, the native democracy has gone through many turbulences and problems.

„The transition ended with our acceptance into the European Union. Countries that have not transitioned to a market economy are not accepted there. We live in a post-transition period where there are real problems. They should be decided by the politicians”, the former MEP believes.

For each year in which he was an MEP, he wrote a book with a report by days. It also includes all his speeches in the plenary hall in Brussels. “I would like the new MEPs not to underestimate the very important problem for Bulgaria, the enlargement of the European Union and the future of the Republic of Macedonia,”, urged Yordanov.
