The district prosecutor's office in Plovdiv is investigating the death of an Englishman, which occurred at the St. George UMBAL, Nova TV reported.
According to initial data, the man, a citizen of Great Britain, died in the hospital due to unknown circumstances two days ago.
He entered the medical facility with complaints of severe headache, dizziness and others. He was admitted to the Emergency Department, where he was examined, put on a system and then discharged.
But the Englishman explained that he was still not feeling well and requested further medical attention, trying to enter the Emergency Department again. However, the doctors on duty turned to the security and the foreign citizen was taken out of the hospital.
However, he insists on returning, and several more people from the security company that the hospital works with come to the scene. Cameras captured the guards jostling him, with one of them punching him and sending him to the ground, after which the Englishman was readmitted to the hospital.
A few hours later, he died, the initial information being that he died of a heart attack.
The hospital said that an internal inspection was appointed, and by order of the executive director, Prof. Dr. Karen Jambazov, a commission was appointed to investigate the case and check the medical documentation.
The hospital has handed over all records to law enforcement and a letter has been sent to the manager of the security company for an explanation and measures. Pre-trial proceedings have also been instituted.
The District Prosecutor's Office has indicated that all facts and circumstances related to the death of the Englishman are being clarified.
Detailed information on the case will be given after the end and verification.
