Alexander Ivanov: Every government needs four years, hopefully a black cat won't cross our path to the eurozone - 1

Is there reason for the concerns that the hole in national finances will begin to be filled with tax increases, as Assen Vassilev warned?

The topic was discussed with NOVA NEWS by Alexander Ivanov, Deputy Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee and GERB MP.

"In principle, the normal mandate of every government should be 4 years in order to be able to implement its management program and commitments to the Bulgarian voters. The political stability that is currently observed leads to good development of the economy", commented Ivanov, adding that "political stability brings only positive things to the country and the economy".

"I hope that a black cat will not cross Bulgaria's path to our European development. I believe that the positive effects of the eurozone will be noted in the first months of next year - both for Bulgarian citizens and for the Bulgarian economy", said Ivanov.

When asked whether a tax increase is needed or planned, as stated by Asen Vassilev, GERB MP Ivanov commented: "There is no such planned increase, and it is not necessary at the moment. This was also seen in the debate on the vote of no confidence. I do not think that the time has come to comment on this topic".

"I believe that a good tone will be found with which to talk to young residents and doctors", Ivanov commented on the issue of doctors and their pay.
