GERB-SDS did not receive the necessary support and Rosen Zhelyazkov's cabinet was rejected in the plenary hall. The leader of the party stated that he will not support a government with the second and third terms.
"As a university teacher, I rate yesterday's debates a weak 2, because of the low political culture that was mainly demonstrated by colleagues from PP-DB. People from whom we expected and sought support, just as a year ago GERB as the first political force supported the second from PP-DB with the aim of their cabinet. One year later, they are third and we expected them, in the name of the development of Bulgaria, to get the job done," said GERB-SDS MP Georgi Georgiev to "Bulgaria morning".
According to him, the reason for the failed design cabinet "Zhelyazkov" is precisely the lack of support from PP-DB.
"They would be the opposition, but it has no rulers. They have no one to oppose. Responsible behavior requires supporting the cabinet, and then controlling its every action, taking on the role of opposition. There is a principle in law - power deters power", said Georgiev for Bulgaria ON AIR.
The deputy is of the opinion that yesterday's debates were full of unnecessary attacks and explanations, and there was a lack of substance as to why exactly the parties do not want to support Rosen Zhelyazkov's cabinet.
"In the hall we listened to a complaint about the past youth of Denkov, how great he was as prime minister. Asen Vassilev spoke outright lies, instead of dealing with what the concrete measures are, because we have a management program and they know it," Georgiev pointed out.
The deputy from GERB emphasized again that the lack of statesmanship and responsibility on the part of PP-DB is the reason for the rejected government.
"I see some people walking in their costumes and parading, enjoying public attention, but they haven't done a job for a single lev. This is not serious", said Georgiev
