Bulgaria's economic development is visibly slowing down, but we still have a chance for the Eurozone. Economist Nikola Yankov predicted this on the air of "Crossroads".
„This was already clear last year, when we achieved weak GDP growth of 1.8% – historical low point for Bulgaria. The reason is uncertainty. It means risk, and risk means less investment. There is a labor shortage, which leads to a higher non-competitiveness of the economy, he explained.
„It can be said that the positive thing is that the state was not completely broken. The budget deficit fits within the 3 percent criterion. This preserves our chances of entering the Eurozone from next year”, Yankov also believes.
In his words, what happened on Wednesday in the parliament indicates that there will be early parliamentary elections again.
