As early as Sunday, the National Council of “We continue the change” decided that in this format of the 50th National Assembly, there is no way to form a government that looks towards Europe and is anti-corruption. Today we had a meeting of the MPs from the party and they clearly confirmed the position of our National Council, clearly emphasizing that they will not participate in talks for a third term.
This was announced by the co-chairman of the PP Kiril Petkov to journalists. He said that they will refuse the DPS invitation for talks on the second term.
Regarding the position of GERB, he stated: “It should be clear to the citizens that after the seventh mandate they failed miserably in forming a government. All of Bulgaria is hostage to the two men – Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski, both of whom are clearly toxic to the Bulgarian party system and democracy.”
Acad. Nikolay Denkov also emphasized: "It is clear from the statement of the DSB that we have a significant difference with them. We reaffirmed – we will not participate in talks about the third term. We have a joint parliamentary group meeting where we will seek a common solution. As it should be in a democratic formation, we will have a discussion and make a democratic decision.”
