Boris Bonev: Stefan Arsov tried to seize the functions of the mayor - 1

"After yesterday's /b.r. Thursday/ day, the reasons for the request for the resignation of Stefan Arsov, a member of GERB and appointed by GERB as the regional governor of Sofia, are already becoming even stronger. He tried to seize the functions of the mayor, who by law has the right to return any decision to the municipal council for reconsideration and voting. Although there is a clear procedure, Stefan Arsov, in gross violation of the law, announced that Mayor Terziev had no right to do this. Of course, this followed with a court appeal. The decision of the court is that the mayor has the right to return this decision".

This was stated by the chairman of the PP-DB-SS group Boris Bonev in "Day ON AIR".

According to his words, the candidates for the temporary managements did not appear on the spot for a competition and were presented only through a short curriculum vitae.

"In less than 24 hours, a report by Carlos Contrera and two breakaways from "Vazrazhdane" is inserted, in which temporary managements are to be chosen for the 6 largest companies, and the rest are to be terminated the powers. Interim managers were presented with only a brief curriculum vitae. No one could say where these people came from, they did not introduce them. The mayor reversed that decision and it was set to be re-voted at Thursday's meeting. But apparently for my colleagues from GERB and BSP it was more important to spend what they received on the seas in Greece and elsewhere than to fulfill their duties as municipal councilors. There is also corruption here," Bonev told Bulgaria ON AIR.

According to him, it is proper for the prosecutor's office to self-refer the case.

"The prosecutor's office, which is self-reporting for all kinds of nonsense, why is it not self-referencing this case? A case study in which an economy of BGN 3 billion, including two companies, "Toplofikatsia" and the subway, in less than 48 hours their managements are changed, some anonymous people are appointed, and this is done in a hurry and in clear violations of the law. We will most likely contact her from "Save Sofia". However, I expect her to self-refer. Perhaps one of the goals is for the upcoming elections to finance campaigns. "How much easier it is to finance campaigns than draining municipal companies," commented the guest.

According to Bonev, even if all the heads of the companies turn out to be from GERB, it is only important that they have honestly won the competitions.

"Our way was legal because the law says "when the mandate of the leaderships has expired, you cannot appoint temporary leaders". The moment it expires, the only move is contests. That's why there were 6 reports for the 6 companies of our group, namely about the announcement of fair and transparent tenders", he pointed out.
