The fire situation in the country remains complex, BTA reported.
The fight against the fire continues in the area of the village of Goleshovo in the Slavyanka mountain on the Bulgarian-Greek border and in the village of Senokos, Simitli municipality.
Fires are burning in the Pirin and Vitosha mountains, as well as in Nevestino municipality, Kyustendil region.
Firefighters, military personnel, foresters and volunteers participate in extinguishing the fire. Military helicopters also got involved.
The fire in Strumyani municipality has been contained, and the state of emergency has been lifted. The residents of the villages of Karpelevo and Tsaparevo, who were evacuated due to the fire in Maleshevska Planina, have returned to their homes.
Blagoevgrad Region
A fire broke out in the area of Mount Sinanitsa in the Pirin Mountains, the director of the Pirin National Park told BTA. Rosen Banensky. The fire was caused by lightning, which fell under Mount Sharalia, at over 2,200 meters above sea level, burning squat, Banenski pointed out. The report was made at 17:00 today. There are two park employees on site monitoring the situation. The terrain there is extremely difficult.
This is another fire raging on the territory of Blagoevgrad district. Earlier today from the District Administration – Blagovegrad gave information about the three big fires in Blagoevgrad, indicating that the fire near the village of Senokos in Simitli has been brought under control on one side, the fire in Strumyani municipality has also been contained, and the people evacuated from two villages in the municipality are already at their homes. The situation of Bulgarian – the Greek border in Mount Slavyanka remains complicated.
Dobrich region
A fire devastated 1,500 acres of deciduous forest near the village of Loznitsa, General Toshevo municipality near the border with Romania. The fire is extinguished. There are still smoldering areas in places, but forest officials and firefighters are on duty to prevent re-ignition. The forest is difficult to pass. About 1,500 decares of corn and sunflower blocks have been saved, forest officials said.
Kyustendil Region
A fire is burning near the bridal villages of Ilia and Tsarvaritsa. For BTA, the director of the fire station in Kyustendil, Svetoslav Georgiev, said that the fire was localized in two directions, but it was still burning in two others. At the moment, about 1000 acres of self-reforested coniferous forest are affected. Georgiev specified that the fire was extremely dynamic. Difficulty in mastering it is also the fact that it is in a mountainous and difficult to access terrain. More than 10 teams of firefighters are involved in the activities. The number of teams with forest officials is the same. Volunteers are also helping with the extinguishing. This afternoon, two military helicopters - "Cougar" and Mi-17.
Pernik Region
A fire broke out in a hard-to-reach area in the Vitosha mountain above the Pernik village of Chuipetlovo, the press center of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Pernik informed BTA. According to the information provided, low grass and vegetation are burning. The fire was reported at 2:30 p.m. Due to the complexity of the terrain, the fire was extinguished manually by six firefighters and ten forest officials, and later a military helicopter was also involved in the extinguishing.
